SOCIAL IMPACT

Denise uses design to tell stories and raise awareness in an accessible and applied way. Her work connects social impact with the educational purpose of playful and embodied learning: learning through physical engagement.

PUPPETRY

She has a passion for applied puppetry, a powerful method that helps people connect in an accessible and imaginative way. Puppetry allows you to reveal inner feelings and discuss them in a safe, playful way. It also encourages people to use their imagination.

 

EDUCATION

In addition to her freelance work, Denise is a Dance/Drama teacher at Hogeschool De Kempel (PABO). She teaches future educators how play and creative approaches can foster a rich learning environment. In this environment, children learn through play and exploration, discovering themselves and the world around them. This educational approach also plays a major role in the workshops she has developed as a designer.
